Two agricultural employers in the Estrie region have won in the “employer committed to educational success” category as a part of the Mon boss, c’est le meilleur! (My boss is the best!) contest, run by Conciliation études-travail Estrie.
These farmers stood out for their willingness to help their employees balance work and education. Congratulations to Alexandre Veilleux of Ferme Merveille in Compton: “My boss is there for me and listens when I need him to. He takes my opinions and my ideas into consideration. He fits my work hours around my classes. My boss is also interested in what’s going on in my life and what I’m doing(school, leisure, family). We chat, and we get along really well!” – Vicky Richer, age 23
Congratulations also to Marie Vaillancourt of Ferme et Fromagerie La Maison Grise in Wotton: “My boss lets me sort of set my own schedule. […] She is very understanding and pleased with the effort I put in.” – Katie Pépin-St-Arnaud, age 14.
